March 25 bears special significance in Middle-earth’s history, as it was the day The One Ring AKA Isildur’s Bane AKA The Ring of Power was destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom by Frodo and Sam.

This day is celebrated by Tolkien fans each year as Tolkien Reading Day, and Amazon has launched some nice deals on the book series to mark the occasion. All major Middle-earth books, including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series are marked down right now for Kindle.
